County amendments exempt one one-story detached accessory structure per parcel when its floor area does not exceed 200 square feet; one qualifying private-use agricultural building per parcel on more than two acres when roof area is at most 600 square feet and eave height at most 10 feet; qualifying utility-free hoop houses up to 3,500 square feet and 16 feet high; swings and playground equipment; nonstructural sidewalks and slabs; decks or patios no more than 30 inches above grade with no permanent construction above; agricultural fences and fences under six feet; and nonstructural landscaping. Exempt work must still meet setbacks and Land Development Regulations, and separate electrical, plumbing, mechanical, septic or planning permits may apply.
