County Permit SearchU.S. compliance directory

Site policy

Terms of Use

Effective August 2, 2026. These terms govern access to the County Permit Search directory.

Informational directory only

County Permit Search organizes publicly available permitting and compliance references for convenience. It is not a county office, municipal department, state agency, contractor, permit expediter, law firm, engineering firm, or inspection authority. Access to this site does not create a professional, fiduciary, agency, or client relationship.

Use of the information

You may use the directory for lawful research, project planning, and navigation to public agency resources. Do not use the site to misrepresent an agency, interfere with public systems, evade permit requirements, scrape or overload the service, or submit information that you do not have permission to share. You are responsible for confirming that your use complies with applicable law and third-party terms.

Accuracy and changes

Agency contacts, portals, codes, fees, hours, and review practices can change. Directory entries may contain incomplete, outdated, or jurisdiction-specific information. The issuing Authority Having Jurisdiction controls the current requirement. Confirm details directly with the responsible agency before relying on a link, estimate, exemption, or enforcement summary.

Third-party websites

The directory links to external public agencies, licensing systems, payment portals, and service providers. Those sites are independent of County Permit Search. We do not control their availability, content, security, privacy practices, fees, or application decisions, and a link does not imply endorsement.

Intellectual property

The site design, original editorial text, branding, and software are protected by applicable rights. Public agency names, marks, regulations, and links remain the property of their respective owners. You may quote or link to public pages in a lawful manner, but may not present County Permit Search content or branding as an official government publication.

Availability and limitation

The directory is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, County Permit Search disclaims warranties regarding availability, completeness, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The site operator should have counsel review any limitation, governing-law, dispute, or consumer-rights provisions before publishing a final version for a specific business entity.

A practical field reference

Good permitting work starts before the application.

Confirm the parcel, identify the Authority Having Jurisdiction, assemble a complete submittal, and preserve the inspection sequence. This directory helps you reach the right counter faster; the issuing agency remains the final source for current requirements.

Before mobilization

Check jurisdiction, zoning, floodplain, utilities, fire access, and contractor credentials before ordering materials or scheduling a crew.

During construction

Keep the approved plans on site, request inspections with lead time, and never conceal work that has not been released by the inspector.
