Regulatory framework
The code baseline for Lampasas County.
Lampasas County is a TCEQ-authorized OSSF agent under its TCEQ-approved February 2025 order, incorporating Texas Health and Safety Code Chapters 366 and 367, Texas Water Code Chapters 7, 26, and 37, and 30 TAC Chapters 30, 70, and 285. County-specific rules require an OSSF permit regardless of acreage; one acre of suitable surface area for a single-family OSSF served by public water, two acres without public water; 60 gallons per day in RV designs; and compliance with the county subdivision or manufactured-home order before OSSF approval. Contract administrator Joe England handles county floodplain administration under the county's flood-damage-prevention ordinance. No general county structural-building permit program or adopted county ICC code edition was found; the City of Lampasas separately enforces 2021 ICC codes and the 2020 NEC within city jurisdiction.
