Regulatory framework
The code baseline for Gregg County.
The verified Gregg County program is for on-site sewage facilities rather than a general county building-code office. It applies Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 366, TCEQ 30 TAC Chapter 285, and county OSSF requirements; a permit and approved plan are required before an OSSF is constructed, altered, repaired, extended, or operated.
Inspection lane
Obtain the county application, site evaluation/design, technical information, maintenance and water-conservation acknowledgement, and required supporting documents. After county review and approval, an Authorization to Construct is issued. Notify the Health Department at least one working day before covering the system for inspection; after a successful inspection, the county issues a Notice of Approval. A system may not be used until it is inspected and approved, and deficiencies must be corrected and re-inspected.
