Regulatory framework
The code baseline for Hart County.
Hart County operates a local building/electrical inspection program. The county application identifies the county building inspector, and the DHBC assignment lists the 2018 Kentucky Building Code and 2018 Kentucky Residential Code framework with state inspector Barry Jones as counterpart. No newer 2026 KBC or KRC adoption was verified; DHBC announced July 2026 NEC updates for electrical work.
