Regulatory framework
The code baseline for Daggett County.
Daggett County Code adopts the latest International Building Code, International Plumbing Code, National Electrical Code, model energy code, accessibility rules, and the current Utah-adopted building code as those editions are updated. Accordingly, the current statewide 2026 set includes the 2024 IBC, 2021 IRC, 2024 IPC, 2024 IMC, 2024 IFGC, 2024 IECC, 2023 NEC, and Utah amendments; manufactured housing must also meet applicable HUD requirements. The residential packet publishes site criteria of 30 psf snow load in Manila and Browns Park, 40 psf in Dutch John and Clay Basin, 80 psf in Pines, 90 mph wind, and seismic category C. County permits apply in unincorporated Daggett County; applicants inside Manila must contact the town.
