Regulatory framework
The code baseline for Live Oak County.
Live Oak County administers floodplain management through its Public Health Coordinator/Floodplain Administrator and references its active Flood Damage Prevention Order, NFIP standards, 44 CFR Parts 59-60, and Texas Water Code floodplain authority. County subdivision rules require proposed development to identify floodplain and floodway areas and require finished floors at least one foot above base flood elevation. The county Health Department is the authorized OSSF agent under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 366 and 30 TAC Chapter 285. No general countywide ICC structural building-code edition was found.
