Limestone County examines construction for compliance with its Flood Damage Prevention Order and NFIP/FEMA floodplain standards; a floodplain development permit is required when property is in the floodplain. The county is also the OSSF permitting authority under its local rules, Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 366, and 30 TAC Chapter 285; its application expressly requires compliance with 30 TAC Chapter 285. No countywide ICC structural building-code edition or general structural permit program was found for unincorporated Limestone County.
