Regulatory framework
The code baseline for Kimble County.
Kimble County is the local OSSF permitting authority under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 366 and 30 TAC Chapter 285. The current Texas Floodplain Administrator directory identifies contract administrator Alex Gonzales for county floodplain review. The county's adopted 2024 Subdivision and Manufactured Home Rental Community Regulations govern those developments in unincorporated areas and require structures in a floodplain to have finished floors at least one foot above base flood elevation and otherwise comply with NFIP, state law, and the county flood-damage-prevention order. No general county structural building-permit department, adopted ICC code edition, zoning code, or ordinary certificate-of-occupancy program was found.
