Regulatory framework
The code baseline for Jack County.
Jack County expressly states that it does not issue general building permits or certificates of occupancy and has no county zoning requirements. Public Works regulates and permits on-site sewage facilities in unincorporated Jack County under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 366, 30 TAC Chapter 285, and the county's state-approved OSSF rules; it also regulates development within special flood hazard areas. County subdivision regulations govern plats, roads, drainage, utilities, and related infrastructure.
