Regulatory framework
The code baseline for Glasscock County.
No general countywide ICC building-code edition or broad building-inspection program was identified. Glasscock County’s published permit program centers on OSSF/septic, pipeline-crossing, and driveway permits. OSSF systems follow Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 366 and 30 TAC Chapter 285; the county application requires planning materials, soil/site evaluation, separation distances, and inspection before approval.
Inspection lane
Submit the completed Glasscock County OSSF application with all pages intact, the appropriate fee, two copies of planning materials and site/soil evaluation, and accurate site directions to Glasscock County OSSF, P.O. Box 67, Garden City, TX 79739; the form also lists email submission to alan.dierschke@co.glasscock.tx.us. Staff review the plans and TCEQ Austin may review non-standard systems. After Authorization to Construct, construction may begin; an inspection is required before covering and must be arranged at least five working days in advance. A successful inspection produces a Notice of Approval and permit.
