Regulatory framework
The code baseline for Erath County.
The reviewed county materials identify local OSSF regulations adopted under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 366 and 30 TAC Chapter 285, but do not identify a general countywide ICC building-code edition. Erath County subdivision and land-development regulations also apply where relevant.
Inspection lane
Obtain the county application, complete a licensed site evaluation, prepare technical and planning materials, and submit the application, materials, and fee to Erath County Environmental Health. After approval, Authorization to Construct is issued; the installer must notify the county inspector at least five working days before construction inspection, leaving excavations open. A Notice of Approval is issued after successful inspection.
