Regulatory framework
The code baseline for Brooks County.
Brooks County publishes a Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance requiring development in special flood-hazard areas to comply with flood-resistant construction, elevation, anchoring, drainage, and professional-certification standards. No general county building-code edition or ordinary building-permit program was published. OSSF work is governed by Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 366 and 30 TAC Chapter 285 through the applicable TCEQ or local authority.
